This beautiful property is well appointed and spacious, making it ideal for families and groups. The modern kitchen leads to an open plan living/dining room, which is bathed in light from the lovely French windows. There are four bedrooms; two doubles (one en suite), a bunk bedded room and a cosy twin bedroom on the top floor which is suitable for children (low doorway of 1.3m).
Maison Medici is set in an acre of mature grounds which are planted with fragrant fruit trees. Guests can relax on the covered terrace, with teak outdoor seating, or enjoy a cooling dip in the private 10m swimming pool. The garden offers fabulous views over the village and its two castles. The River Dronne is about 800 metres from the house and guests can fish and rent canoes nearby.
The small village of Bourdeilles has a boulangerie, a grocery shop and several restaurants. Brantome - known as the “Venice of Perigord – is within easy reach and is well worth a visit.
